What will you teach my child at camp?
Your child will be in an environment that’s both fun and challenging, using a combination of drills and contests that kids love. We’ll teach your child to respect others and strive to improve as an individual and as a teammate. They’ll learn the fundamentals of basketball which include shooting, dribbling, passing and defense. We’ll also share the Christian message in a creative way, and encourage your child to become the person God made them to be.

Where do you get your coaches from?
Most of our coaches are local college students or young professionals who have experience playing and coaching the game, and they love to work with kids. Our camp committee carefully reviews and hires the coaches. Our coaches receive training prior to camp and work with the Halo Director to provide a great experience for every camper.
How are players grouped?
Depending on enrollment, players are grouped according to age, typically every two years. Sometimes boys and girls of similar ages are grouped together.
What should my child wear to camp?
Players should wear a tee shirt and shorts, along with a quality gym shoe, preferably basketball midcuts or hightops.
What should my child bring to camp?

- Medical items, such as an asthma inhaler (give to coaching staff)
- Lunch and additional snacks for Full Day Campers
