Dave and Leslie Davies are the Founders of Halo Hoops Ministries, Inc.  They have been married for ten years and live In Wilmington, NC with their two young boys, Skyler & Aidan.  Dave is the Director of Programs and Leslie is the Director of Operations for the ministry.

Dave Davies grew up in Spokane, WA.  His background includes a bachelors degree in physical education from Seattle Pacific University while playing on the mens basketball team.  He went on to compete for three years professionally, including a stint with the Seattle Supersonics, and competition in Taiwan and Australia. He also toured with Athletes In Action, where he met Leslie, and Pro Athletes Outreach.

At Florida State University, Dave earned a masters degree in physical education while coaching boys varsity basketball at North Florida Christian School. Then he spent four years as the boys varsity basketball coach at Crook County High School in Prineville, Oregon. 

Leslie Davies grew up in the small town of Belvidere, Illinois.  She received her bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in communications from Northern Illinois University.  During that time, she played for the Huskies and competed in four NCAA tournaments.

After college, Leslie toured with Athletes In Action and played professionally in Perth, Australia. Her coaching experiences include being an assistant women’s basketball coach at St. Joseph’s College in Indiana and at Florida State University.

Erik Holley currently teaches math at Murray Middle School in Wilmington, NC.   He recently finished a 4 year stint in Hermiston, teaching high school and coaching the highly successful JV girls squad. 

During college, Erik played basketball at Blackhawk Junior College and then ran track for Ouachita Baptist University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.

In the late 90's, Erik coached the girls basketball team at North Florida Christian School at the same time Dave Davies was coaching the boys team. The two later ended up coaching boys basketball together at Crook County High School for a couple of years.

Erik has served on missions trips in Brazil and Africa and was a counselor for five years at Kanakuk Camps in Missouri.
